DESCRIPTION:This year’s Carole Nash International Classic MotorCycle
  Show is another jam-packed two-day affair, and there can be few place
 s in the world where classic bike enthusiasts can go and see so much i
 n one place at one time. It all takes place on April 23-24 at Stafford
 shire County Showground…\nTrade and autojumble The Stafford show is 
 the biggest of its kind in the world. Nowhere else on earth will so ma
 ny traders, dealers, jumblers and other sellers come together to offer
  such a wealth of items available to buy whether it be classic bikes, 
 or parts, pieces, spares and accessories for them.\nClubs  Classic Bri
 t bikes, exotic continentals, rare contraptions… the wonderful and e
 xpansive mix of club stands packed into the halls at Staffordshire Cou
 nty Showground has it all. A quick browse of the A-Z list and all the 
 big-hitters are there from the likes of the multi-interest VMCC and VJ
 MC through to the specialist owners’ clubs covering marques such as 
 Francis-Barnett, Sunbeam, Velocette and Norton among others.\nPrivate 
 Entries Thousands of painstaking hours are spent by owners ensuring th
 eir exhibit is in its best possible condition ready for display and in
 spection by the packed crowds and award judges. As would be expected a
 t the April show, there is a focus on British machines and marques suc
 h as Cotton, Norton, Sunbeam, BSA, Triumph and Ariel feature heavily. 
 Suzuki, Laverda, Indian and Harley-Davidson – among others – do pr
 ovide an international flavour however. Alongside the machines on the 
 show’s club stands, the private entries will compete for a host of s
 how awards including the coveted Best in Show.\nSee them ridden and he
 ar them roar In the Classic Racer GP Paddock, famous machines are fire
 d up twice during each day of the event with the guest of honour in at
 tendance, and over in the Classic Dirt Bike off-road arena there are t
 wo daily trials demonstrations hosted by journalist Tim Britton and ai
 ded by the Owd Codgers. Both are supported by static displays of stunn
 ing machines from individuals and groups alike. The entertainment does
 n’t end there either, with the gravity-defying Wall of Death open to
  showgoers throughout the weekend.\nBonhams’ auction There are sever
 al machines competing for the title of ‘headline’ motorcycle at th
 is year’s Stafford Spring Sale. Among them are a Coventry-Eagle Flyi
 ng 8, a 1939 Vincent HRD Series-A Rapide, the Broughs of Bodmin and th
 e V-twin JAP engine Thor – the famous Francis Williams/Ernie Woods s
