DESCRIPTION:May 12—13 is the weekend of the Monaco Historic Grand Pr
 ix 2012 and we have organised an exclusive trip to Monaco for the race
  weekend, with a new and novel itinerary\n \nRather than drive up and
  down through France, the trip starts with a ferry crossing to the Spa
 nish port of Santander. From here the route leads first to the beautif
 ul seaside city of San Sebastian—famous for its beaches and its tapa
 s. Next is a crossing of the Pyrenees with stops close to Pau and Bezi
 ers before arriving at Nice to stay on the Promenade des Anglais. With
  secure parking organised it will be possible to leave the car and com
 mute to Monaco by train.\n \nAs all hotels bar one have been organise
 d on a bed and breakfast basis this gives the choice of eating in or e
 xploring and finding an attractive restaurant, perhaps dining in both 
 Monaco and Nice on different nights\n \nThe return includes two histo
 ric hotels and a stop in the Dordogne. The first homebound stop is in 
 Millau to allow participants to visit the bridge and its newly opened 
 visitors centre. There is then a run north to the Dordogne to Domaine 
 de Lanzac, close to   beautiful Rocamador and run by our long time a
 ssociate and petrolhead Gerjo Timmerije\n \nThe last night is spent c
 lose to Le Mans before an afternoon ferry home. With each leg being ar
 ound 250 miles there will be ample time to enjoy the country as well a
