August 9/10/11 2013 date announced for an exciting summer weekend of Classic Bike racing on track, major club displays, trade stands, grasstrack and scrambles for historic motorcycles, and opportunities to get on and try new motorcycling experiences – something for all the family!
An all-new event for summer 2013, a major motorcycle festival with appeal for racers, riders, off roaders, traders, suppliers and manufacturers all based in and around this famous race circuit.
Working in conjunction with the established market leaders in organising race meetings, the Classic Motorcycle Racing Club – CRMC – which enjoys a strong following among owners and racers at the pinnacle of classic motorcycling, and with support from Bauer Media’s market leading title, ‘Classic Bike’, Donington Park expects to build this new event over coming years into the country’s premier festival on the country’s best bike racing circuit.
In summer 2012, CRMC ran a successful 2 day event of races, with over 400 riders competing in 30 different, dramatic races. As well as the classic racing regulars, visiting superstars of the 2 wheel world past and present included Carl Fogarty, Phil Read, Steve Baker, Jamie Whitham, Chas Mortimer, and Pentti Korhonen. Visiting teams came from over 10 different countries, and the Yamaha Classic Racing Team brought over a wide selection of iconic racing machines. It is upon this solid and experienced basis of high quality racing, bikes and riders that the partners in this new joint venture look to build a 3 day weekend of spectacular action, enjoyable club meetings, trial ride outs, side shows and an auction, music, food and biker friendly camping - with new attractions looking to join the Festival over the coming months of planning and preparation.

As he became famous with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, we have few hints on his growing interest in classy cars. He and his wife Nancy…

Twenty-thirteen has been an eventful year for the automotive world. We've seen birthdays: The iconic Porsche 911 hit 50, and Aston Martin has made it to 100.
Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
