The Wiltshire TVR Car Club already have a busy events diary planned for 2012 and one of the main events for TVR enthusiasts far and wide will be the Neil Garner TVR Open Day at the Kemble Business Park (SN16 9SH) on the A429 Wiltshire / Gloucestershire border. This will be held on Easter Saturday – April 7th 2012.
Former F1 race mechanic to Alonso, Neil is well known by all TVR enthusiasts in the West Country with cars coming from far south as Somerset and Dorset and far north as the Midlands for servicing and repairs. He has held 'full house' open days for his customers in the past during the Easter period, just before the motor racing season gets under way.
However, next year aims to be his biggest Open Day yet, this time incorporating the assistance of the Wiltshire TVR car club members. New for next year will be the best in TVR trade stands - So far committed are: D&C Trim from Blackpool, Crazyhorses racing (rolling road) TVR radio and alarm specialist, Carl Baker; Fibreon, ACT, Classic Additions and Roger Morris, famous for his Surrey Roofs for Griffs and Chims to name but a few.
Organiser of the event, Paul Stallard, who owns a Griffith 500 says, 'We are honoured to have top names in the TVR circles, like D&C Trim, Carl Baker and many more who come from north and south of the country to be with us on Easter Saturday. We want TVR enthusiasts to come and meet the specialists. From cows leather to more horse power, it will all be there!'
Before coming to the Cotswolds to service Blackpool's finest, together with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Lotus and Porsches, Neil had been privileged to work with such stars like Fernando Alonso, witnessing his very first F1 race win through to a fantastic 2005 championship battle.
Besides all the TVRs Neil services, modifies and repairs, he will have three of his race prepared cars on display as well, the Mosler, the Porsche 997 and the latest addition, the Formula Le Mans.
All models of TVRs are welcome and it is hoped that a few of the rare and special TVRs will take pride of place on the day for all to see.
Russ,
Many thanks for putting this up - much obliged
Paul

“The Voice” & His Vehicles
Frank Sinatra was called “The Voice” from early in his career. He was heard on his first recording with the Harry James Band singing “All Or Nothing At All” which sold about 8,000 copies that year, later to sell millions as he became better known. As he became famous with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, we have few hints on his growing interest in classy cars. He and his wife Nancy…

Twenty-thirteen has been an eventful year for the automotive world. We've seen birthdays: The iconic Porsche 911 hit 50, and Aston Martin has made it to 100.
Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
