The Market Town of Old Amersham is having its annual Heritage Day on 8th Sept 2013
Last year we had a great turn out of in excess of 100 vehicles throughout the day, including a VERY SPECIAL CLASSIC FERRARI from DK Engineering. They brought down their Ferrari 166M which has got a fascinating story, (raced, restored, raced, stolen, recovered from an Italian scrap yard.... restored, raced...) and they promise to bring something equally as impressive this year. But DK aside we’re interested in any classic cars to join in the fun. It’s a completely free event for all to enjoy. There’s rides on Vintage buses, games for youngsters, and themed vintage dress and competitions as well as all the classic vehicles to reminisce over.
We’d welcome anyone interested in classic cars, and of course encourage all owners to bring their vehicles down to enjoy the day.
For further info see the Amersham Town Council Facebook page or contact me Aaron Emmett or Steve 01494 434000
Thanks
Cllr Aaron Emmett.

As he became famous with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, we have few hints on his growing interest in classy cars. He and his wife Nancy…

Twenty-thirteen has been an eventful year for the automotive world. We've seen birthdays: The iconic Porsche 911 hit 50, and Aston Martin has made it to 100.
Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
