Accrington town center will be transformed into Monte Carlo on Saturday 6th September, with a Cavalcade of historical cars unlike anything seen in the town before!
Bringing a Pebble Beach style Concours D'elegance to Lancashire. Motoring enthusiasts have been invited to attend a summer Concourse display, Cavalcade tribute to the fallen soldiers of World War 1 in Accrington town centre and then to also attend the 2014 Chris Wood Trust Rally Drivers Ball in the evening on Saturday the 6th of September.
We are delighted to be involved with the high profile motoring event based in the heart of Lancashire, in Accrington at the four star Dunkenhalgh hotel. The event will be hosted by Paddy Hopkirk and money raised from the events charitable activities will be donated to the Chris Wood’s Trust- to aid people with spinal injuries. Chris Wood is a former world class rally co-driver injured in a mountain bike accident last year. For more information about Chris or how you can #helpwoody please visit http://www.gofundme.com/helpwoody
This is not our normal type of flat out driving event, but will be a perfect opportunity to get your families and friends more involved in a very social way.
Setting off at 11am from the Dunkenhalgh around 25 historic cars of various makes, models and ages will make their way to Accrington’s Broadway. The event will pay tribute to the Accrington Pals in the centenary year of World War One. The Cavalcade will return back at the Dunkenhalgh hotel at 1pm for the afternoon’s events.
The remarkable vehicles will be on display in the grounds of the Dunkenhalgh Hotel for the remainder of the afternoon.
The Rally Drivers’ Ball is set to be a night you’ll never forget. Join us for a delicious three-course meal, live entertainment, auction with special guests such as racing legend Paddy Hopkirk.

Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
