Pre 80’s Extravaganza 2012 will be held once again at Papplewick Pumping Station, Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, a beautifully preserved Victorian water pumping station housing Britain’s finest working examples of James Watt beam engines.
The format will be similar to previous years and invites have been sent out to celebrities from the world of TVR as well as suppliers. The trophy for the Concours de ’elegance, ‘The Trevor Wilkinson Memorial Trophy’ will be awarded to the best Pre ‘80’s car on show.
Production of the ‘M’ series began in 1972 and so 2012 will herald its 40th anniversary. There are a lot of ‘M’s’ out there locked away in garages and sheds awaiting an excuse to be resurrected. 2012 is that excuse. Let’s see as many as possible at Papplewick in 2012, you have 10 months to get them ready!
Entry will be £8.00 per car, payable on the day. All members are welcome with any age of car, we have the entire site to play with, allowing plenty of room for loads of cars. Please make a note in your diary and come along to what should be a great day out.

Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
