Over a period of eight years john became line leader at TVR whilst also working closely with Bob Taylor of the Blackpool Trim Shop, honing and diversifying his skills making him proficient in all aspects of vehicle trim and upholstery. This lead to a prestigious appointment with the Lotus group where John was involved heavily in prototype creations as part of the trim development team. In this time John produced cars for both the British and Geneva Motor Show where his work won great acclaim, even working on David Beckhams private car creating a one off design to the sports stars specifications.
