An Americana extravaganza at the Prescott Autumn Classic
Prescott Speed Hill Climb, the Gloucestershire home of the Bugatti Owners' Club, will host two days of the biggest, brightest and brashest Americana for its end of season Autumn Classic event on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October 2011.
Each of the one-day events will be a celebration of American automobilia; vintage hot rods, flatheads and muscle cars will compete for your attention alongside iconic motorcycles and crowd-pulling favourites such as the Dragster Record Breakers.
There will be plenty of family entertainment throughout the weekend including the return of the incredible Wall of Death. Run by the Ken Fox Troupe on 1920s Indian Motorcycles, this death-defying spectacular is back by popular demand. The Stars & Stripes theme continues with 1950s swing and rock ‘n’ roll classics performed Sam & his Sax at the paddock and a Wild West themed area where visitors can try their hand at the Saloon Bar Shoot Out or rodeo bull.
Don’t forget the action on Prescott hill. On Saturday, classic American cars will be competing on the famous hill climb course while Sunday will host V8 flatheads and hotrods of all ages, with regular cavalcades on both days.
The weekend would not be complete without the essential American served at the clubhouse diner or popcorn, hotdogs and shakes from the classic street vendors.
With American club stands, cheerleaders, a vintage hot rod display and a concours competition for custom cars and rods, the Prescott Autumn Classic is an extravaganza of Americana with a focus on fun.

“The Voice” & His Vehicles
Frank Sinatra was called “The Voice” from early in his career. He was heard on his first recording with the Harry James Band singing “All Or Nothing At All” which sold about 8,000 copies that year, later to sell millions as he became better known. As he became famous with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, we have few hints on his growing interest in classy cars. He and his wife Nancy…

Twenty-thirteen has been an eventful year for the automotive world. We've seen birthdays: The iconic Porsche 911 hit 50, and Aston Martin has made it to 100.
Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
