It’s a Club Day weekend here at Shakespeare County Raceway and what better way than to get your car or motorcycle club involved in one of the cheapest and best participation sports in all of motor sports - Run What You Brung. So let's hope you’ve brung enough!
Two full days of RWYB open to all makes and models of cars and motorcycles gives you the thrill or competitive straight line speed without the fear of getting zapped by a road side camera! The only camera’s point at you will be those taking photos trackside! The only ticket you’ll get is a personal performance print-out registering your reaction time to the green light, 60 ft and overall elapsed time and mph for the quarter mile drag! After all it’s the cheapest form of motor sport in the country. Its fast and its accessible whatever your age or make of vehicle in a safe and legal environment.
A popular feature at Shakespeare County’s Public Track Days is ET Bracket Gamblers Racing. These races are open to all street legal cars, modified, and all out competition dragsters and doorslammers for cash prizes, trophies and goodies from raceway supporters. Are you tough enough to gamble with your car? All vehicles will be required to have a quick safety check.
Car and motorcycle clubs are welcome to come along and participate on the track or simply book a club stand to show what your clubs made of. Clubs are also actively encouraged to take part in a full-on head-to-head quarter mile shootout with other club members of their choice. Just give us a call.
PLEASE NOTE: All RWYB drivers regardless of cars, times and speeds are required to wear a crash helmet in order to compete on the track. Helmet hire is available at the track on the day. Contact us for further details or take a look at our Essential Guide on the RWYB information page. And don’t forget your Driving Licence!

Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
