May 12—13 is the weekend of the Monaco Historic Grand Prix 2012 and we have organised an exclusive trip to Monaco for the race weekend, with a new and novel itinerary
Rather than drive up and down through France, the trip starts with a ferry crossing to the Spanish port of Santander. From here the route leads first to the beautiful seaside city of San Sebastian—famous for its beaches and its tapas. Next is a crossing of the Pyrenees with stops close to Pau and Beziers before arriving at Nice to stay on the Promenade des Anglais. With secure parking organised it will be possible to leave the car and commute to Monaco by train.
As all hotels bar one have been organised on a bed and breakfast basis this gives the choice of eating in or exploring and finding an attractive restaurant, perhaps dining in both Monaco and Nice on different nights
The return includes two historic hotels and a stop in the Dordogne. The first homebound stop is in Millau to allow participants to visit the bridge and its newly opened visitors centre. There is then a run north to the Dordogne to Domaine de Lanzac, close to beautiful Rocamador and run by our long time associate and petrolhead Gerjo Timmerije
The last night is spent close to Le Mans before an afternoon ferry home. With each leg being around 250 miles there will be ample time to enjoy the country as well as the driving!

“The Voice” & His Vehicles
Frank Sinatra was called “The Voice” from early in his career. He was heard on his first recording with the Harry James Band singing “All Or Nothing At All” which sold about 8,000 copies that year, later to sell millions as he became better known. As he became famous with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, we have few hints on his growing interest in classy cars. He and his wife Nancy…

Twenty-thirteen has been an eventful year for the automotive world. We've seen birthdays: The iconic Porsche 911 hit 50, and Aston Martin has made it to 100.
Many interesting cars have been released, from the nippy Ford Fiesta ST, through the breathtaking Jaguar F Type range, right through to the next generation of hypercars. Mclaren, Ferrari and Porsche have proven that a hybrid is no longer the exclusive preserve of the eco-hatchbacks, whilst setting blisteringly fast Nurburgring…
