September 11th 2011 is Amersham Heritage Open Day, where over 2000 people come to the historic town of Amersham to celebrate all things vintage. Past events have attract 1000's of classic car enthusiasts.
The vintage ferrari restoration specialist DK Engineering will be there to tell the fascinating history of their The Ferrari 166MM. The Amersham & District Motor Bus Society will be running a free vintage bus service between Amersham-on-the-Hill and Whielden Street, Old Amersham. 1938 Tube train and Sarah Siddons, ex Metropolitan Railway locomotive will be running between Harrow-on-the-Hill to Amersham.
This popular free event, which this year will include Woodside Morris Men, The Doyle Academy of Dancing, classic car display, steam organ, clowns, animal farm, Punch & Judy show, balloon modeling, Victorian games, face painting and a bouncy castle.
